DeviantArt Companion ("the App") is a third-party companion application for DeviantArt. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

1. Data We Collect

We collect minimal data.

DeviantArt OAuth Token: When you sign in, the App receives an OAuth access token from DeviantArt to communicate with the DeviantArt API on your behalf. Your password is never seen or stored by the App.
Anonymous Analytics: Firebase Analytics collects anonymous usage data (screen views, feature usage) to help improve the App. No personally identifiable information is collected.
Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Premium, RevenueCat processes your purchase through the App Store. We do not access your payment details.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

Your DeviantArt password or credentials
Your name, email, or contact information
Your location data
Device identifiers for advertising
Browsing history on our servers

3. Local Storage

The following data is stored only on your device and never transmitted to our servers:

OAuth tokens and session data
Cached deviations and images
Preference settings (theme, categories)

4. How the App Works

DeviantArt Companion communicates directly with the official DeviantArt API to retrieve content. No intermediate servers are used to proxy your requests.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics tokens are managed by Firebase and contain no personal information. Local data persists until you uninstall the App or sign out.

8. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data on our servers, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. You can revoke the App's access to your DeviantArt account at any time from your DeviantArt settings. Clear all local data by signing out or uninstalling the App.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
